First Time Home Buyer? 3 Important Things YOU Need to Know!

If you're a first time home buyer, or even a first time in a long time buyer --

1) MAKE SURE the advice you're listening to is accurate. Case in point...if you want to have your own home, & the voices you're listening to are telling you that you can't, do yourself a favor and don't assume. Those voices come in many forms --

*What you read on-line or hear in the "news" (& we all know how accurate the "news" is -- sarcasm intended)

*Well-meaning naysayers

*Your past -- that rental apartment manager who turned you down two years ago; that divorce or bankruptcy that you're thinking may still be on your credit report; bad financial decisions that you're now regretting but are ready to move past

*That "credit karma" report you pulled for yourself -- NOT always accurate!

*Just basic self-doubt & thinking you'll never be able to -- do I have enough money? do I have a good job? can I make the payment?

2) ASK YOURSELF questions like these -- have I been paying rent because I believe I can't buy my own home? Do I want to put my money into my own pocket & build my own credit success, or do I want to continue to help someone else with theirs? Do I want my own home so much that I care about it more than anyone?  Come up with some of your own questions & answer them truthfully & seriously.

3) GET REPRESENTATION.  A buyer's agent works HARD!  As a professional Realtor, I provide time & expertise getting to the bottom of what YOU want & need.  I have resources -- a TEAM of people who are experienced in what we do to get you from start to finish.  And until you buy a home on closing day, you get that time, experience, loyalty, guidance, AND a listening ear, at no charge.  Is that something you knew?
